Membership
WHY DO WE HAVE MEMBERS?
We are a registered film society with subscribed members – by operating in this way, we can to present films cheaply to members through non-theatrical screening rights (which make it affordable!). We can also borrow rare films from the National Film and Video Lending Service.
HOW MUCH IS IT TO JOIN?
Its currently $15 per year to be a member*. Flinders Flicks members can come to any “Flinders Flicks presents” night for free, and access our movie library of films we have collected**. Members also receive a discount at special and public events screened by the Society, as fundraisers or to promote the Society.
The tiny membership fee is kept as small as possible and it helps to cover costs like venue, film and equipment hire and insurance, tea and coffee!
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:
You can either join up when you come to an event, or post a cheque with your full contact details to our secretary (address is on the contacts page). A membership card will be provided.
Aside from the annual membership, we also offer a temporary membership for $5 which is good for 3 months. You can always upgrade this to full membership later.
