Our special guest is local film sound and foley artist John Simpson, who will introduce the amazing film sound techniques of FOLEY. John has been creating sound special effects for decades, working on films including the award winning Happy Feet, Australia, King Kong, Wolf Creek, and many more! John will tell us about the art of foley and introduce tonights films.

Animated family comedy, directed by George Miller (who also directed Babe). Into the world of the Emperor Penguins, who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is born who cannot sing. But he can tap dance something fierce! After the film, local foley artist John Simpson will explain how he made the sounds of tap dancing penguins.
